Are you soil savvy? Would you like to know how to garden alongside nature?
Join us to learn the art of composting and sustainable gardening practices.
We will chat and share tips around no-dig gardening, worm bins, wildlife-friendly gardening and permaculture – come with your questions.

Nature Friendly Gardening
Learn how to maximise your harvests, with minimal effort and create a productive garden for you and for wildlife.
We’ll chat about composting, organic gardening and sustainable practices like no-dig and permaculture. Learn more about the wide range of perennial veggies so you can plant once and harvest for years.

Sow and Grow Children’s Activities
Learn about the magic of herbs and plant some seeds to grow at home.
Drop-in activities, suitable for ages 6 and up. No need to book.

No-bake snacks family workshop
Make tasty, nutritious snacks using simple ingredients and learn how to reduce food waste in this hands-on family workshop at the Museum of Oxford.
Don’t forget to bring your Tupperware!
Tickets are £1.50 for 1 child + 1 accompanying adult and include access to the galleries. Book online or at the museum shop.

Seed swap and sow a seed event
Bring along your part packs of seeds and pick up something new to try this year.
Sow some veg or herb seeds to take home. You can grow them on a windowsill if you don’t have a garden space.

Build a Seed Library and Seed Swap
Join this family friendly event and help us decorate boxes and containers to hold the seeds. We’ll also be hosting a seed swap, so bring your spares and exchange them for something new – flowers, herbs or veg. The leftovers will start off the new seed library – bring a seed, take a seed, share seeds.

Eat Your Pumpkin This Half-term
We’ll be visiting Wantage and Chinnor libraries this half-term to encourage people to ‘eat their pumpkins’. We’ll be sharing decoration ideas, as your uncarved pumpkin will last much longer! Pick up some recipes, learn to save your seeds to eat or grow and get some composting tips.
