The only recipe you’ll ever need

Following recipes can get tedious and time-consuming. That’s why we love The Good Food Cooking Toolkit, a mini guide to creative cooking without recipes! As you can use up what you’ve got in the fridge or cupboard, it’s also an easy way to reduce your food waste.

The idea is simple: chop up whichever vegetables are available, choose a cooking method, spice it up with a few seasonings from different flavour categories, pick some creamy or crunchy toppings and a side dish, and enjoy! Check it out:

Good Food Oxfordshire have shared some delicious examples of flexipes using the toolkit: veggies with mustard sauce, Asian fusion sir-fry and lentil bolognese.

Made a meal of it? Send us a snap! We love sharing recipe ideas on our social media, so if you’ve made a great dish using the toolkit, send us a photo: jo@cagoxfordshire.org.uk

If you’re looking for more inspiration on how to create simple and tasty dishes, follow Good Food Oxfordshire’s Facebook events and YouTube Channel for online cooking demos. Subscribe to their mailing list to find out about future cooking classes.

The toolkit was developed by Good Food Oxfordshire, with support from Veg Cities, a feature campaign by University of Oxford Martin School’s LEAP Project, and by Replenish, a CAG Oxfordshire project.
